Nasrallah: I saw fear in Netanyahu’s eyes while speaking in Congress on Hezbollah, Iran and Syria
Hizbollah Secretary General Hasan Nasrallah has stressed that US President Barack Obama and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a knockdown to the so-called Arab peace initiative.
Nasrallah was speaking on Wednesday in a televised speech during a major festival in the Lebanese village of Bekka marking the Resistance and Liberation day.
Commenting on Netanyahu’s speech before the US congress yesterday in which he announced that no return to the 1967 borders and rejected the Palestinian refugees’ right to returne, Nasrallah said Netanyahu’s speech left nothing for negotiation
He also said that Obama and Netanyahu sent a knockdown to the so-called Arab peace initiative.
“All what Netanyahu said yesterday has unanimous amongst both, the Republicans and the Democrats of Congress,” Nasrallah said
However, the Secretary General of Hizbollah pointed out that “I saw the fear in Netanyahu’s eyes while speaking in Congress on Hezbollah, Iran and Syria.
“The historic course had been changed, starting from 2000, to the withdrawal from Gaza, until July war of 2006,” he added.
Highlighting the Resistance and Liberation day, Nasrallah said “The resistance victory of May 25 is the result of sacrifices of all categories that have stood and fought since 1948 until today.”
“Some Lebanese still cannot realize the greatness of the divine victory in 2006,” he added.
“If we had waited in Lebanon for any Lebanese or international consensus, our land would have been still under occupation,” Nasrallah said.
