Two Citizens Kidnapped, Forced to Fake Stories to Harm the Army Reputation
Eid Hassan Kabua and Mohammad Shaweesh Shaweesh on Saturday reported that they were kidnapped and forced to fabricate false confessions saying they were dissented soldiers.
Kabua told the Syrian TV that he was kidnapped from al-Dablan area, Homs Governorate, while he was in a taxi, adding that the kidnappers blindfolded him and led him to a nearby building.
He said that the kidnappers forced him to tell false news before a camera. “They video-tapped me several times. They told me to say that I was a defected army officer in the first video and a regime-backed personnel that have orders from Maher al-Assad to kill protesters every Thursday and Friday,”
Kabua added that the kidnappers took him afterwards and put him in a car, saying he was able to run away after a two-hours ride, he ran in rugged area for 2 Km before reaching the international highway.
As for Warrant Officer Shaweesh, he said that while he was riding his motorcycle to his work at Jablah Airport, two armed persons forced him to stop.
“The armed persons were riding a white Kia Rio car. They forced me to go under a bridge where no one can see me. They had a digital camera and told me to say that the army is killing protesters in Jablah city and that I had defected from the army because I can no more endure these acts. “He said.
